More vintage Alison Steele from the heart of the free form era on commercial radio. First set begins with Pink Floyd. Some interesting ads including one for a Renaissance album and another for the movie “The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat” with voice work by Scott Muni and when’s the last time you heard Griderswitch on the radio ?

Vintage WNEW and Alison Steele from the prime years of commercial free form radio in New York. The first clip is from September 6, 1972 and the second from July 11, 1975.
The music is fantastic as Alison plays King Crimson, The Nice , The Moody Blues and more.

The first clip is from 1988 and includes some content from the the Grateful Dead Rain-forest benefit. The clip does not include any part of the actual concert but has some music played by DJ Harris Allen. There is also a short interview with Hall and Oates conducted by Pat St John. The duo played at the benefit.
The second clip consists of mostly ads recorded during the airing of a Dead concert and a Who special in 1978 . You will hear Richard Neer, Alison Steele and also Al Bernstein near the end playing the Eagles Hotel California.
