I had a request in the comments from Jim Fothergill for some longer clips from “Psychedelic Psunday” and I have found some.
The clip above is from March 2015. An interesting set list. Andy Frost plays his favorite band Little Feat, a Steppenwolf deep track and a rare instance of John Kay sharing the lead vocals, Tony Kosenic’s All Things Come from God ( a track I remember well from the free form CHUM FM days), Call Me lightning by the Who which was their follow up to Magic Bus and hit the top 20 in Toronto Also the classic rock staple Green-eyed Lady by Sugarloaf which has not suffered from overplay fatigue and and finally some tracks from the Doors second album.
The You Tube clip below is from the final Psychedelic Sunday from May 27, 2018. Just short segments including the Alice Cooper opening . I recorded the entire show but on slow speed reel to reel which means the fidelity is poor but it does give it the flavour of an old musty air check.. I did record part of the show in better fidelity and will perhaps upload that at a later date.
Will also go through the other tapes I have of the show and perhaps upload some of those as well.
Yes i hope you can post some more of these, as to me they are a treasure, it was every Psunday afternoon we would be in for some sort of musical treat off of that program. Don’t remeber , though, hearing a Doors Strange Days album side, so that is another plus for this one. Please keep them coming, maybe even some more David Pritchard?
