The majority of audio heard on the site is taken from my personal collection but this is the second contribution from Peter Alexander. The first was uploaded a few years ago and was also from KOME FM. That one was mistakenly attributed to Jona Denz-Hamilton but Jona sent in a correction and informed me that it was in fact Karin Nakamura .
These clips actually feature Jona and you can hear her ID herself. Taken from the Johnson Years special in 1977 with excellent audio quality. I have a lot of other KOME FM content on the site and you can use the search function to find it.
Oh wowowowowow! This is really me. Hahahaha. I was afraid that I’d embarrass myself listening to myself on the air as a kid. Dang! I want more. This is definitely a Jona-on-the-radio show on KOME the Radio. “The LBJ Years” was a very cool special where we played songs that came out between 1964 and 1969. I don’t sound quite like that on the radio anymore, but I still get to play some of those artists. Thanks for taking me back in time!

Had a guy at Awalt High school ’74-’77 that completely covered his car with KOME stickers! He later did it with KSLO as well. Loved the KOME stickers, and had them on bikes and cars for years. You all rocked it. We always had KOME in our ears, haa! I will ask around to see if any pictures are out there. Wow listening to first recording, and Santana followed by Dazed and Confused, love it, miss it. Thank you all!
